Senior Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Amberfield Hollow Environmental Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for collection routes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Track costs around recycling loads against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
