Senior Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Fernwood Ivory Facilities Group is a facilities company in Albuquerque with crews on day and night shifts, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around cleaning schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer sites, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with customer sites. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Albuquerque. • We reply to every applicant.
