Senior Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Foxglove Vale Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Rochester, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 127 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around customer onboarding against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to payment disputes, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with payment disputes. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
