Senior Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Bluepeak Basin Inspection Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for scheduling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Track costs around client sites against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
