Senior Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Bluepeak Linden Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Anchorage. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 15 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to grower contracts, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around field records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Anchorage. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
