Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Providence, RI)

Westbrook Fox Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Providence, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 508 people based in Providence. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
