Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Providence, RI)

Clearpath Junction Staffing places workers with employers around Providence. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around retention against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client orders, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with client orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Providence. • We reply to every applicant.
