Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Pittsburgh, PA)

Westbrook Beacon Markets Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for supplier deliveries, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around promotions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with supplier deliveries. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
