Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Phoenix, AZ)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Glen Inspection Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 145 people based in Phoenix. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to certifications, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Phoenix, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
