Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Philadelphia, PA)

Greenridge Cross Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Philadelphia, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. We reward reliability. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to dock schedules, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Philadelphia, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
