Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Oklahoma City, OK)

Ironwood Beacon Community Partners Group is a nonprofit in Oklahoma City supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Track costs around benefits enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with food distribution. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Oklahoma City. • We reply to every applicant.
