Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Oklahoma City, OK)

Bright Drift Energy is an energy provider in Oklahoma City focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around service connections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to usage data, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with usage data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oklahoma City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
