Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Oklahoma City, OK)

We are growing our team at Greenridge River Water Authority Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oklahoma City. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around meter reading against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oklahoma City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
