Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Oklahoma City, OK)

Summit Ember Water Authority Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for treatment plant data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 434 people based in Oklahoma City. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around meter reading against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
