Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Oklahoma City, OK)

Fernwood Stone Energy Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for usage data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to usage data, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
