Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Miami, FL)

Clearpath Cross Legal Group is a law firm in Miami serving businesses and individuals, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. We are a close group and share the work. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around document review against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Miami, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
