Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Miami, FL)

Amberfield Sparrow Environmental Services Group serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Miami. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with collection routes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Miami, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
