Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Memphis, TN)

Lumen Willow Property Management is a Memphis property manager with leasing, maintenance and resident services, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 113 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Track costs around resident events against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with unit turnovers. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
