Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Memphis, TN)

Westbrook Keystone Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Memphis region. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. We are a family-run business at heart. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around harvest schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Memphis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
