Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Memphis, TN)

Amberfield Umber Health Partners is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for electronic records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to electronic records, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around patient education against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with electronic records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
