Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Little Rock, AR)

Greenridge Keystone Environmental Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for weigh tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to weigh tickets, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
