Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Kansas City, MO)

Harborlight Linden Inspection Services Partners is an inspection company in Kansas City with field technicians and lab staff. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 101 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around client sites against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to test reports, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with test reports.
