Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Kansas City, MO)

Rivermark Hollow Facilities is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for contractor visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to contractor visits, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around supply orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with contractor visits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
