Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Kansas City, MO)

Nova Wilder Auto Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for service appointments, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service appointments, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with service appointments. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
