Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Honolulu, HI)

Cedar Union Health is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for referrals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Clinicians and administrators work side by side. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to referrals, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around clinic supplies against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with referrals. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Honolulu. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
