Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Grand Rapids, MI)

Amberfield Cross Telecom Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for service installations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service installations, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
