Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Fresno, CA)

Amberfield Basin Banking Services is a regional lender in Fresno with branches and a growing mobile service. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan files, and clear open items. • Track costs around account openings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with loan files. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
