Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Fort Worth, TX)

Bright Sparrow Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Fort Worth area, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around service installations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage reports, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Fort Worth, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
