Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Colorado Springs, CO)

Rivermark Birch Care Services supports families and individuals in Colorado Springs with personal care and coordination. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to family communication, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
