Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Cleveland, OH)

Bluepeak Basin Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Cleveland, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around test reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to certifications, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with certifications. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Cleveland. • We reply to every applicant.
