Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Charleston, SC)

Harborlight Hollow Facilities Group looks after properties across the Charleston region, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety inspections, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around contractor visits against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with safety inspections. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
