Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Charleston, SC)

Greenridge Thistle Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in Charleston producing generic and specialty treatments, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 19 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory filings, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory filings. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
