Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Boise, ID)

Silverline Haven Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Boise area. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people based in Boise. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to student accounts, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Boise. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
