Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Boise, ID)

Redstone Granite Housing Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for maintenance stores, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 312 people based in Boise. What you will do • Track costs around waiting lists against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to maintenance stores, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
