Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Boise, ID)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Basin Energy and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 124 people based in Boise. What you will do • Track costs around service connections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Boise. • We reply to every applicant.
