Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Boise, ID)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Rook Manufacturing and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around scrap and rework against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boise, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
