Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Boise, ID)

Bluepeak Loom Construction is a Boise contractor with project managers, trades and support staff, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 496 people based in Boise. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around subcontractor invoices against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to change orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
