Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Boise, ID)

Ironwood Ivory Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Boise area, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 67 people based in Boise. What you will do • Track costs around billing accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Boise, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
