Senior Accountant - audit preparation (Atlanta, GA)

Cedar Manufacturing Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for production lines, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 59 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Track costs around machine downtime against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with production lines.
