Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Wichita, KS)

Northwind Linden Facilities looks after properties across the Wichita region, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 12 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Track costs around work orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cleaning schedules, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Wichita. • We reply to every applicant.
