Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Timber Medical and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Patient safety shapes every decision. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around production lots against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with clinical evaluations. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
