Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Tucson, AZ)

Northwind Wilder Property Management looks after rental homes across the Tucson area, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. We are flexible about schedules. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around unit turnovers against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with rent collection. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Tucson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
