Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Tucson, AZ)

Rivermark Umber Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Tucson, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around billing accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Tucson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
