Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Tucson, AZ)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Cross Facilities and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to contractor visits, and clear open items. • Track costs around customer sites against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
