Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Tucson, AZ)

Redstone Umber Facilities Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for customer sites, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around work orders against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer sites. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Tucson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
