Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Tucson, AZ)

Amberfield Wren Telecom Group is a telecommunications provider in Tucson focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 12 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage reports, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around billing accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Tucson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
