Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Seattle, WA)

Northwind Ivory Banking Services Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for account openings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account openings, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around loan files against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
