Senior Accountant - accounts payable (San Diego, CA)

Nova Corner Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in San Diego producing generic and specialty treatments, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with release testing. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
