Senior Accountant - accounts payable (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Bright Beacon Manufacturing Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 108 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scrap and rework, and clear open items. • Track costs around production lines against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with scrap and rework.
