Senior Accountant - accounts payable (San Antonio, TX)

We are growing our team at Silverline Oak Care Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around care plans against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with client records. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
